All housings are compatible with a field-installable lock kit for the front door. The units include multiple locations for jumper egress and come with the universal cable clamp for cable strain relief. Documentation labels are provided, and components can be added as needed to construct a fiber distribution frame for any application. Classic closet connector housings are compatible with CCH connector panels for multimode and single-mode applications in 6-, 8-, 12-, 16- and 24-fiber configurations.
The 1U and 2U options feature a slide-out tray, while 3U and 4U options have a tinted polycarbonate front door and an open top at the front of the housing for easier access and jumper routing. CCH Slack Storage Cassette accepts 1 CCH connector panel and provides modular slack storage for direct-,factory- or field-termination of incoming (e.g., distribution) cables grommets and cable ties for strain relief, protective braided tubing, mounting rails for use in CCH-01U/2U/3U/4U housings or can be wall mounted. The 1U and 2U housings can also be mounted in 23-in (58 cm) equipment racks by flipping the 19-in mounting brackets optional 23-in extension brackets are available for the 3U and 4U housings. The units are designed to reduce the risk of errors that can disrupt networks and can be mounted in 19-in (48-cm) racks or optional 23-in (58-cm) equipment racks (1.75-in EIA hole spacing). The housings accept closet connector housing (CCH) panels.
Corning classic closet connector housings (CLSSC) provide interconnect or cross-connect capabilities between outside plant, riser or distribution cables, and optoelectronics.
